For Rubber Gaskets

For rubber gaskets, set it to custom on the dial, and then “Genuine Leather” on the software. It should be saved as a favorite on the NER account, but if not just browse through all the options.

For rubber gaskets, set the tool to the deep point blade. It is probably already loaded into the machine. If you aren’t sure, it is the black one with a longer blade.

For Sticker Vinyl

If you set the wheel to vinyl, it should work. Just to double check the settings, go to custom. Click “Browse All Materials” then “Material Settings” in the bottom left. Make sure these are the settings for vinyl:

If this is correct, you can just turn the dial back to vinyl.

Cutting

Set up your material on the cutting mat. If the mat isn’t sticky or you are doing a thicker or slicker material such as rubber, you may want to tape it down. Don’t be afraid to use multiple layers.

MAKE SURE WHEN YOU ARE DONE USING THE MAT YOU STORE IT FLAT AND PUT THE CLEAR COVER BACK ON IT SO IT DOES NOT LOSE STICKINESS

Load the mat into the machine. You will need to slide it in and apply light pressure while and push the up and down arrow button for the machine pulls to pull it in.

Press go! When the cut is done, click the up and down arrow button to retrieve your cut. Congratulations, you made a custom gasket (or sticker, or something else)!

Extra Vinyl Instructions

Once your cut is done, you will need to remove excess vinyl. You will need scissors and an exacto knife. Start by cutting a box around your sticker with the scissors.
