Charter | Team Drive

Responsibilities

  • The primary objective of our operation team is to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency, ensuring an optimal working environment for all members on NER.

Team member expectations

  • Attend all weekly Business meetings

  • If unable to attend a meeting, message Operations leadership and send updates in the #operations Slack channel prior to the meeting being missed.

  • Communicate with Operations leadership regularly on topics including: bandwidth / capacity, workload, questions / roadblocks, progress, or new ideas

  • The expected time commitment for a dedicated member is 5 hours per week.

Competition preparation

  • Travel logistics for team, car and equipment

  • Arrange lodging for annual competitions

  • Documentation

Physical spaces

  • Richards 054 Makerspace + Bay and Gainsborough Garage (Cage)

    • Carry out regular clean-ups

    • General maintenance

    • Ensure proper safety and behavior; completion of Safety Training

    • Inventory of items

  • Room bookings and test days

    • Book rooms for weekly meetings, general meetings and learning sessions

    • Communicate with CSI for space bookings for events.

    • Oranize vehicle testing, including collaborating with facilities, ensure safety and team member involvement.

    • Organize driver testing to determine drivers for competition.

Digital spaces

  • Maintain order on digital platforms

    • Organized online storage, such as Google Drive and Confluence

    • Clean out inactie users regularly on all platforms, especially Drive and Slack

  • Subscription management: keep track of access credentials for all online platforms and subscriptions

Project Management

  • Support engineering and software subteams in the creation of the Project Management plan.

  • Ensure proper documentation of processes.

  • Handle Project Management presentations and Change management documents for competitions.

  • Have a deep understanding of FinishLine (Project Management platform).
