Welcome to the Software Solutions product scavenger hunt! The goal of this activity is to build on the FinishLine guide doc to really understand all parts of FinishLine.
The first part of the scavenger hunt deals with looking up where certain features are in FinishLine.
Find Your Team, [...], and check the team details
Navigate to the teams page
Click to expand that team item
Change Your theme to light mode, then back to dark mode
Click on settings icon in the top right of the screen
Scroll down to the theme section
Click on the edit button
Switch to light mode
Click save. Once loaded, take a screenshot
Click the edit button again
Switch back to dark mode, take a screenshot
Click save
Find project [WBS - Name], take a screenshot of the current gantt and current risk log
Navigate to the projects page
Scroll down to the specific project
Click into the project
Find the risk log section, take a screen shot
Scroll down to the Gantt section, take a screen shot
Find a specific work package that is part of Project [...]
If you are in the project, scroll down to the work package accordion
If not, navigate to the project again
Once at the accordion page, click on the work package to expand it
Find the work package lead, duration, status, and expected details
Click into the work package from the accordion section
Copy the project lead, duration, and status from the details section
Scroll down to the expected details section, take a screenshots
Change the progress of this work package from [...] to [...]
Go to the expected activities section, check off half of the items
Go to the deliverables section, check off half of the items
Find a change request which is a [type] made by [user]
Go to the change requests page
You can choose to filter by type
Scroll down for the change request, identify correct user
Click into this change request, take a screenshot of the change request details
Find the slide deck of Project [...]
Go to the project page
Find the project
Click into the project
Go to the links section of the project details
Click to copy the link address
Find the project update log
Navigate to the home page
Look in the helpful links
Click on the Project Update Log link
Find the procurement form
Navigate to the home page
Look in the helpful links
Click on the procurement form link
Find the software and club-wide meetings / events calendars
Go to the info page
Check on calendars
Click on the public URL for the software meetings (take a screenshot)

The second part of the Scavenger hunt will take through the project creation pipeline.
Create a new Project, Called [...] (I'm thinking something like Traction Control)
Create a change request from a relevant project. Either request a change from a specific project, or make a change request from the main change request page. Do this as a member.
Add in relevant details, like reason [… reason …]
Add in a proposed solution, with the extra time this adds, and the extra duration
Approve this change request (switch to being an admin / leadership).
Switch back to being a member. Implement the change request by creating a new project
Provide the relevant information it asks for.
Once created, edit the project to add in information
Project Lead will be [ … ]
Project manager will be [ … ]
Duration will be the duration you set in the change request, budget same
Links can be added as just a sample link, anything works (in real flow, we would make each of the items correctly
Click save
Create a Research Work Package for the previous Project
From the change request that created the project, choose to implement it;
Create a new work package
Put in relevant information from the creation form [Put all info that you need]
Edit information to add the following details
Create a Design Work Package for the previous Project
From the change request that created the project, choose to implement it;
Create a new work package
Put in relevant information from the creation form [Put all info that you need]
Edit information to add the following details
Create an Assembly / Manufacturing Work Package for the previous Project
From the change request that created the project, choose to implement it;
Create a new work package
Put in relevant information from the creation form [Put all info that you need]
Edit information to add the following details
Activate the research work package
Navigate to the projects page
Find the project you created, click it to open up the project
Go to the work package section and find the Research work package
Click on Actions → Activate
Fill in the date, project lead (…), project manager (…)
Swap users to review the request, approve the activation change request
Once approved, verify the status is active → take a screenshot
Change the budget of the research work package
Navigate to to the work package in question
Click on actions → Request Change
Fill out the information for this change request

Add a proposed solution, with no scope impact and no timeline impact, but a budget impact of 30 dollars
Create the change request, and switch accounts to approve it
Select the relevant proposed solution to approve
Once approved, implement the change request → edit work package
Update the budget amount
Stage gate the research work package to make it complete
Go to the work package in question
Request a change → Stage gate
Reload the page to change users
Go to the change request page, select the stage gate change request that was created
Approve it
Screenshot the status to confirm that it is complete
Activate the Design Work Package of the newly created project
Navigate to the projects page
Find the project you created, click it to open up the project
Go to the work package section and find the Design work package
Click on Actions → Activate
Fill in the date, project lead (…), project manager (…)
Swap users to review the request, approve the activation change request
Once approved, verify the status is active → take a screenshot
Add a risk of needing more time to the Design for the project
Go to the new project page
Make sure you are at least leadership level
Click add risk
In the popup, say “[…] may add time to the project”
Click submit
Add a few more risks
Same process to adding the individual risk
Make sure you are at least leadership level
Go to the risk section
Click add risk
Add a description
Click submit
Repeat at least 2 times
Delete a Risk, and escalate the duration change risk to a change request
Go to the risk log section
Make sure you are at least leadership level
To delete;
Select the check box to the left of the risk you want to delete
When the icon becomes a trash can, delete it
To escalate;
Click on the arrow to the right of the duration risk
Change the type to definition change
Fill in remaining information, adding 2 weeks to the timeline impact
No scope or budget impacts
Change the duration of the Design work package from the previous change request
Go to the change requests page
Make sure you are at least leadership level
Find the change request (type; definition change)
Switch accounts to review and approve
Once approved, swap back and implement the change request → edit work package
Add the relevant duration change
