Hey everyone! Welcome to Structural Systems! Here is some useful information to look through to get a better idea of what the team does and gain knowledge prior to deciding if you want to join the team!
NOTE that meeting times for the Spring 2023 Semester are Tuesdays at 7pm in the Richards Makerspace (subject to change, please have notifications on in slack (#s_structural)

Understanding Naming Conventions
You may have noticed by now that we tend to refer to the two different cars we are building as car 17D and car 22A. So what are they?
Car Number | Car Letter | Competition Year | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
17 | C | 2022 | Competed at FH+E in 2022 and won 2nd place! This was our first ever car that was made. It is referred to as 17 since it started getting built in 2017. |
17 | D | 2023 (Intending) | This is the same car as the one that competed in 2022 but with improvements to certain subsystems. Car letter is D since it is revision D. |
22 | A | 2024 (Intending) | This will be our car completely built from scratch beginning design in 2022, hence the car number. It is revision A, and we’re hoping to use it to compete in both FH+E and FSAE Electric in 2024! |
