Attendance & Etiquette
For meetings (our Thursday time):
Try and show up and react to the announcement message at least a couple hours in advance.
If you cannot show up and have a ticket you are working on:
Firmware members: Please reply in thread of the announcement message with a quick one sentence on saying you cant make it and how your ticket is going
Apps sw members: Reply in your respective channel forward
For bay time (our Sunday time):
Try and show up and ask questions, get help, test your ticket.
If you cannot show up and have questions, put a message in #s_embedded-software for fw members, or for Apps sw members in your respective channel, and optionally ping the lead who gave you the ticket, and ask your question:)
Firmware ticket policies:
New tickets:
New tickets will now only be assigned during in person meetings and bay times. This helps us properly explain the ticket to you and ensure you are ready to get started on it.
Stale tickets:
If you dont show up to two meetings in a row, and do not respond in slack for either, we will assume your ticket is not getting worked on and unassign you. If you find you aren't able to spend the time needed to complete the ticket, unassign yourself on Github.
A reminder on DMing:
Worth a DM:
Concerns over team members, other private reccomendations
Questions regarding specific personal situations or other thing you feel should be private
Not Worth a DM:
Pretty much everything else; including
Ticket technical questions!!
General knowledge or asking for resources
